Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to Seoul, South Korea down to $999 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop in Vancouver each way.
Prices from Vancouver and Edmonton remain in the $1300-$1500 range, suggesting this price drop from Air Canada might be in anticipation of WestJet opening up ticket sales for their nonstop flights from Calgary to Seoul.
UPDATE 1: WestJet has dropped the price of some of their dates down to between $956 and $998 CAD roundtrip to match Air Canada. Dates are currently available for September and October travel.
WestJet is also offering business class flights from Calgary to Seoul for $3000 CAD roundtrip, which is around $2000 lower than Air Canada.
UPDATE 2: Air Canada currently has some cheaper ones for $999 CAD roundtrip available in September and October again. WestJet has some nonstop flights in the same months for $1098 roundtrip.
