United Airlines and Air Canada have dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina down to $245 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way. Calgary does not have nonstop flights to either Philadelphia or Charlotte. In other words, a 1 stop flight is the best you can hope for to either city.
Really the only semi desirable dates to Philadelphia are in October and maybe late March. Unless you have a reason to be in Philly in the heart of winter.
Calgary to Charlotte, North Carolina is also available on similar dates. And similarly, October would be your best bet.
Charlotte is around 22C in October, 11C in January, 13C in February, and 18C in March.
Dallas is a little different. Calgary *does* have nonstop flights to Dallas but they are usually very expensive ($800 roundtrip is common, and they are currently priced that way throughout 2024/2045).
Dallas ranges from 13C-16C in January and February.

- Look for the dates that are $245-$253 roundtrip.
2. Go to Kayak or Skyscanner
3. Search for a flight from Calgary (YYC) to Philadelphia (PHL)
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.

UPDATE: September 9th - Take this blog post, and substitute the city of New York for Philadelphia (PHL) and Charlotte (CLT) on United. They've dropped their prices to those cities down to about $340 roundtrip after taxes, across the board, throughout 2011 and 2012.

Update: Looks like this is part of a price war between Delta and United for not only flights to Phoenix, but to Charlotte, North Carolina and Philadelphia as well. All 3 cities are available throughout the calendar year, including Christmas, for around $320 roundtrip after tax.
