Air China has dropped the price of a few of their flights from Calgary to Chengdu, China down to $514 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 2 stops each way, in Vancouver and Beijing, China.
Of all the cheap Air China flights to China that have come around lately, the ones to Chengdu interest me the most.
Chengdu is the capital of the Sichuan province. It's a laid back city, often considered one of the most liveable of China's mega-cities.
Chengdu is also the home of Sichuan cuisine, and the giant panda research base. There's also some pretty amazing mountains about an hour west towards the Tibetan Plateau.
NOTE: Canadians require a visa to visit China.
