It's nice to see Air Transat offering a cheap price to somewhere in Europe that isn't named London or Manchester .
It might be because of another charter airline honing in on their territory. And that would be Condor, with their direct flights to/from Frankfurt, starting in late spring.

It's also nice to see an Air Transat fare drop that's 5 months ahead of departure rather than 1.

In 2009 I was lucky enough to fly with Air Transat to Frankfurt non-stop for 519 round trip, after tax. This doesn't seem like a deal to me.
In 2009 I was lucky enough to fly to Spain for $100 roundtrip after tax, but unfortunately that hasn't had any bearing on prices going forward.
It's good to examine the historical price to determine what a 'good deal' might be though. And of course deal is a relative term. A good deal in 2009 may not mean much in 2011. If you've seen anything cheaper to Frankfurt in the past 6 months or so, that might be more relevant.
There were definitely some good deals to be had in 2009, when the world was still reeling from a global economic crisis and passenger numbers dropped dramatically.
