Calgary to Halifax, Nova Scotia - $203 to $323 CAD roundtrip including taxes

Lynx Air recently announced they are expanding their route network to offer flights from Calgary to Halifax, Nova Scotia (and to St. John's, Newfoundland, but those flights aren't currently as good of a deal).
The new flights from Calgary to Halifax start in mid-July, but their lowest prices are in September where you can find flights for $203 to $323 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
$203 roundtrip is the base price and includes *only* a personal item.
$323 CAD roundtrip is the more realistic price with a piece of carry-on or a checked bag included.
July and August dates can be found for around $25 more roundtrip and are the star of the show here.
July and August flights from Calgary to Nova Scotia have traditionally been ridiculously expensive with Air Canada or WestJet. For comparison, they are currently priced at $775-$875 CAD roundtrip with a piece of carry-on. Watch for these to drop, now that there is some competition.
Lynx Air's flights between Calgary and Halifax have 1 stop each way in Hamilton for 45 minutes. It's a technical stop though, meaning you don't need to change planes, so there's no concern about the short stopover length.
Vice-versa flights (Halifax to Calgary) are also available for a similar roundtrip price.
Who is Lynx Air?
Lynx Air is a low cost airline based out of Calgary, Alberta.
As Lynx Air, they are relatively new, with their first flights taking off last month. However, Lynx Air is really Enerjet rebranded. Enerjet was a charter airline that operated for 10 years mainly transporting oil sands worker to job sites around Western Canada.
In late 2021 they rebranded from Enerjet to Lynx Air, with the intent to become a low cost carrier serving major cities across Canada.
They also brought in Merren McArthur as their CEO. She was previously the CEO of Tigerair Australia and Virgin Australia Regional Airlines.
Lynx Air has firm orders and lease agreements in place for 46 aircraft over the next seven years.

How to find and book these flights
1. Go to the Lynx Air website
2. Search for flights from Calgary to Halifax.
- In the promo code box, enter: LIGHTHOUSE to save about $30 roundtrip.
- Before you click 'Search', you may want to put a checkmark beside the 'Best Fare Calendar' box.
3. In September, look for the dates that are $101-$108 on the way there, and $106-$114 on the way home.
In July or August, look for the dates that are $123-$131 each way.
