WestJet has dropped the price of their January 2022 flights from Calgary to Honolulu and Maui, Hawaii down to $356 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are nonstop both ways.
Hawaii announced they were welcoming tourists again as of November 1st.
On November 8th, Hawaii made it easier for Canadians to visit by allowing antigen tests for entry, and the test no longer needs to be from anywhere special. (Hawaii used to only allow PCR tests from 'approved lab partners' in Canada).

How to find and book these flights
1. Try the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Calgary to Honolulu, Oahu
Google Flights: Calgary to Kahului, Maui
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations. Adjust the trip length at the bottom.
- Look for the dates that are $428 roundtrip or less
2. Go to the WestJet Cyber Monday promo code page (The promo code expires Nov 29 at midnight)
3. Apply the discount code: CYBRESC
4. Search for a flight from YYC to HNL or OGG. Use the same dates you found on Google Flights.

The flights are great deals, but finding any accommodations for a family is practically impossible in that timeframe that isn’t $700+ per day. Any tips for finding something in Jan/Feb for Maui or Oahu?
Nice flight deal. We booked a nearly identical flight (for January) with Westjet last month, $550/pp return. Be aware that the flights are cheap but the accommodations & car rentals are expensive in Maui since it is peak season. It may be more expensive to fly in a couple of months but the savings on accommodations will save you more money overall.
