The flights have 2 stops each way, in Vancouver and Tokyo.

From Kuala Lumpur, you can find flights to all over SE Asia for $100-$200 CAD roundtrip.
Note that there is an airport change in Tokyo on the way home (from Narita NRT to Haneda HND). This generally takes 90 minutes to 2 hours and costs around $29 CAD by train.
