Calgary to Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, Brazil - $582 to $678 CAD roundtrip

United Airlines and American Airlines hves dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil down to between $647 and $678 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
Brazil re-opened for Canadian tourists on July 30th.
Brazil does not have any quarantine restrictions on their side. Brazil also does not require a recent negative test result for entry.
Visitors must have proof of travel health insurance that covers covid for the duration of their trip. You will need to show proof of this before departing at the airport, and again upon arrival.
Upon return to Canada, these flights would qualify for the test program at Calgary (YYC) that allows you to reduce the quarantine on Canada's side down to 2-3 days.
The test program is currently scheduled to operate until at least May 3rd, 2021.
Update Dec 7th: Rio de Janeiro has gone up in price, but Sao Paulo is now available for $582 CAD roundtrip.
Update December 17th: As of December 30th, everyone travelling to Brazil is required to show proof of a recent negative PCR test (within 72 hours of your departing flight that takes you to Brazil).
