United Airlines has dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to Seoul, South Korea down to $746 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in San Francisco.
South Korea is effectively closed to Canadian tourists, unless you can handle quarantining in a government-designated facility for 14 days.
("This requirement applies to all visitors for tourism or business purposes who don’t have family or long term residence permit in the country.")
53% of South Koreans have had at least one dose, and has accelerated quickly since late July. They've been vaccinating at a rate of about 20% of citizens per month, similar to Canada's pace at our peak.
South Korea wants to reach a 70% first shot vaccination rate by September.
