Calgary to Tokyo or Osaka / Kyoto, Japan - $373 to $473 CAD roundtrip | Sep 2020 to March 2021

Air Canada, Japan Airlines and ANA have dropped the price of their flights from Calgary to Tokyo and Osaka / Kyoto, Japan down to between $373 and $473 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

To Tokyo, the flights have 1 stop each way, in Vancouver. To other destinations in Japan, there is an extra stop in Tokyo.

You can also fly into Tokyo and home from Osaka (or vice versa). It's also worth trying other cities in Japan.

Note: ANA (All Nippon Airways) has not announced any protections for future bookings past June 1st. They've been good about offering flexible refunds & changes thus far, and had been moving the eligible dates up to now.

1. Try a Google Flights search like this one...

2. Click on the departure date box and browse for cheap date combinations

- look for the dates that are $535 to $635 roundtrip

3. Go to Skyscanner and try the same destination and dates. The price will be lower on Skyscanner.

    let's call these prices what they are...a ploy for airlines to get your money so they can convert it to credit later. I'm drowning in it right right now!

    Anyone have experience changing flights on Skyscanner? While the airline itself may be flexible, I’m wondering what the booking site is like. Had a bad experience with Flighthub

    Thank you very much for sharing this information. I was able to book my trip to Japan for $575 round trip around Christmas of this year. I just hope that Japan has its borders open for tourism.
