Flights to Vietnam are a good deal right now - $1017 roundtrip after tax

March
I was really hoping to find one that was sub-$1000, but $1017 will have to do. Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights to a few Asian cities today, notably...
- Saigon, Vietnam (SGN)
- Bangkok, Thailand (BKK)
- Singapore (SIN)
The most significant price drops have been in April. Here's April 14 to 23 for example, from AirCanada.com

The fact that there was an earthquake today in Thailand is probably coincidental. But there is certainly the possibility the price drops are a reaction to recent events in Japan and perhaps the general fear some might have of flying to Asia at the moment.

I agree...This is very good deal. Normal return ticket to Vietnam is usually between $1400 to $1600 (highest in Dec/Jan). But dont forget the weather is getting hot and humid (+30C) in April in Vietnam. I usually prefer going there in late Dec or early Jan. It's around +25C.
Dont forget to visit Nha Trang...Mui Ne...beautiful beaches...
Enjoy...
and the asian legs are on ANA! very nice....
Just noticed this today has gone up a bit, curious though I tried just searching a flight to Tokyo and it is actually cheaper to fly to Ho Chi Mihn stopping first in Tokyo then to just get off the plane and stay in Tokyo...has anyone seen this before?
thx
Singapore is its own country, not in Malaysia. Although, it is just off the tip of the Malay Peninsula.
DD: That certainly does happen from time to time on certain routes. Just be aware, if you miss the second leg on your outbound trip, the airline will usually cancel your ticket home.
A: Whoops, you're right, I will correct that, thanks :)
