Los Angeles to Bangkok, Thailand and then Manila, Philippines to Calgary - $345 CAD including taxes
2
February
There are some highly unusual fares showing up on flights from Los Angeles to Bangkok, Thailand and then from Manila, Philippines back to Calgary for as low as $345 CAD including taxes. They are possibly an error.
To make this work you would still need...
a) a one way flight from Calgary to Los Angeles. This typically costs around $150 CAD.
b) a one way flight between Bangkok and Manila. This typically costs around $160 to $190 CAD.
The end result would be a flight from Calgary to Thailand to the Philippines (with the ability to spend time in each location) and then back to Calgary, all for around $655 CAD including taxes.
The key is first getting your hands on one of the $300-something flights.
How to find and book these flights
1. Try one of these Momondo.ca searches...

My husband recently passed away with ALS. He had over 800000 aeroplan points. I thought I could just transfer to my account. They want $8000plus. It seems immoral to me. These points have already been paid for. I know I am just one voice but can you suggest who I could contact to complain about this terrible policy. Do all airlines do this? Thanks Pauline
Pauline: Do you know his Aeroplan account password? Anyone can book an Aeroplan ticket for anyone else, so if you are able to log in at Aeroplan.com you are able to book tickets for yourself (or anyone else) or redeem them. Make sure to keep the account active, so it doesn't automatically expire.
