Calgary to Vancouver | $199 roundtrip after taxes

You'd have to go many years back in the time machine to book a roundtrip airfare from Calgary to Vancouver for under $200 after taxes.

But charter airline GoJumpOn is selling off the last of their Friday October 4 to Sunday October 6 flights for this highly unusual price, to get their plane filled up for this weekend. The flights are also at great times, leaving at 5PM after work, and returning at 6 PM.

For comparison, the cheapest Air Canada or WestJet flights on the same dates are currently hovering at $520-$560 roundtrip after taxes. Although for a fair comparison, you'd want to base it on what prices were a few months ago, likely around $350-$450 for flights at peak times.

At the time of this writing, 39 seats remain.

Recently I've heard from one of the reps at GoJumpOn, who mentioned to me that even though they were only advertising $50 off the first 50 flight bookings (using the Jump Code you get when you sign up), that their system was actually set up to accept the first 50 Jump Codes regardless of whether or not they were one of the first 50 flights to be booked.

As a result, there *may* be the possibility of it still accepting your Jump Code and bringing the price down to an even crazier price of $149 after taxes. But it's also possible all 50 of those Jump Code discounts have been used by now. I'll try to get some clarification from GoJumpOn and update this post when I hear back.

UPDATE: I have heard back from GoJumpOn. They are selling some seats at $199 until they get to their 'Jump Point' of 120 seats for the flight to be a go, and using a Jump Code is not possible at this price. So in effect, there are just 4 seats remaining at $199. Once those seats have been sold, the price will change to $289, *but* using a Jump Code will be allowed, and the remaining seats will be sold at $289, or $239 with a Jump Code. Confused enough?

It's nice to see that GoJumpOn seems to be really catching on, and have been able to sell out most of their flights. Here's to hoping they can continue to do so, providing Calgarians with some legitimately great deals on flights within our own country.
