United Airlines is showing 2-in-1 flights that allow you to spend time in both Tokyo, Japan and Hong Kong for $631 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
You would fly from Calgary to Tokyo, Japan (spend time there) and then fly from Tokyo to Hong Kong (spend time there), and then fly home from Hong Kong to Calgary.

How to find and book this deal
NOTE: Most of these flights are operated by United Airlines, but some of the overseas flights are operated by ANA in at least one direction.
If you can find any with overseas flights that are actually operated by ANA in at least one direction, definitely go for those, as they are a great airline (ranked #3 in the world this year).
If you see any that are operated by ANA in both directions, please share the dates the comments!

2. Click on Multi-City
3. Search for a flight like this one:
Calgary to Tokyo, Japan (TYO)
Tokyo, Japan (TYO) to Hong Kong (HKG)
Hong Kong (HKG) to Calgary
Try one of the following date combinations:
Sep 5 to Sep 12 to Sep 19
Sep 12 to Sep 19 to Sep 26
Sep 19 to Sep 26 to Oct 3
Sep 26 to Oct 3 to Oct 10
The above are just example dates.
You can try many other dates in September and the first half of October. You do need to depart in September however.
You can try shorter or longer trips.
I would focus on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday dates.

You can also find flights that allow you to visit both San Francisco (or Los Angeles) and Hong Kong for a total of $669 CAD including taxes
1. Try this Google Flights search...
Calgary to San Francisco, and then San Francisco to Hong Kong, and then back to Calgary
Calgary to Los Angeles, and then Los Angeles to Hong Kong, and then back to Calgary
2. Try dates in September and the first half of October. You need to depart in September though.
3. Select your flights and click through to the United Airlines website for booking.
Update 8/24 - There are still a few really cheap flights from Calgary to Hong Kong out there today for around $519 CAD roundtrip including taxes.

Google Flights: Calgary to Hong Kong
Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
Look for the dates that are in the low $500s roundtrip.
2. Go to Momondo
Search for a flight from Calgary to Hong Kong (HKG)
Use the same dates you found on Google Flights.
NOTE: I've been seeing issues today with clicking through from Google Flights to the United Airlines website for these flights. You may need to go to the United Airlines website directly and search for the same dates.
