WestJet is offering introductory prices on their new flights from Calgary to Mexico City for $470 CAD roundtrip including taxes, including a checked bag and a personal item.
The flights are nonstop both ways.
The new route from Calgary to Mexico City will begin on May 14th and will operate 5 days per week. WestJet used to fly this route from Calgary back in 2019, along with Aeromexico.
This is a CBO deal (Checked Bag Only). You cannot bring carry-on. However, in addition to your checked bag, you can still bring a personal item (something that fits under the seat in front of you).
If you have the WestJet World Elite credit card, which comes with free checked bags, you can book these flights for $362 CAD roundtrip.
To save money, sometimes couples or families will book one passenger with a checked bag, and the others without.

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Calgary to Mexico City
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
- Browse for the cheapest dates by adjusting the trip length at the bottom.
- Look for the dates that are $376 roundtrip.
2. Click through to the WestJet website by clicking on the 'Ultrabasic' fare.
- Select the 'UltraBasic' fares on the WestJet website, which do *not* include carry-on.
- After the seat selection page you will be asked if you would like to add checked luggage for $46 each way.
3. If you do not care about bringing any luggage at all (just a personal item), it is possible to book these for as low as $362 roundtrip on Kayak or Skyscanner
