"I'm a travel junkie who's hooked on deals from YYC." - Chris Myden

There's a Christmas flight to Costa Rica for $687 roundtrip after tax

There's a direct flight from Calgary to Liberia, Costa Rica from December 18-26 for $687 roundtrip after tax.

It's notable because around $650-$700 is about as cheap as flights get to Costa Rica from Calgary, and the fact that it's over Christmas makes it even more noteworthy. I find that flights over Christmas are usually about 1.5X as much as the rest of the year.

Here's a direct link to this flight.

Update: Looks like December 25 to Jan 02 has dropped to the same price. direct link to this flight

Hi there. Do you know who is running this charter flight please? Westjet has never heard of it. I was hoping to book Dec 18-Jan 2.
    Thanks so much,

Robyn: I had to do some digging myself to figure it out. Even the first WestJet rep I talked to wasn't quite up to speed.

Apparently WestJet and Thomas Cook have a bit of a new partnership, so while WestJet is operating the flight, Thomas Cook is who the flight is actually through.

I posted the details on the forum discussion about this deal:

    Hope that helps!
