Calgary to Fiji - $979 roundtrip after tax

Qantas Airways just dropped their price from Vancouver to Fiji (NAN airport) down to $730 roundtrip after tax on select dates.
December 7 to 14 for example. Or Dec 2 to 9.
From Calgary, it's an extra $260 roundtrip, or you could always drive to Vancouver of course.
This is a pretty insane price for Fiji, the next cheapest is $1600 after tax!
You can see it right on Orbitz.
There are also dates in September, October, November, and February through April of 2011.

People are also reporting great flight + hotel package deals on Expedia.ca for Fiji (using these same flights and dates of course).
There's even one for under $1000/person after tax, which is unheard of for Fiji.
The Bedarra Beach Inn for $1044/person after tax looks like perhaps the best deal. That's for flight and hotel. It gets great reviews...

Can't seem to find those hotel and flights deals on expedia on the above mentioned dates. help?

It appears those fares were around until Friday afternoon sometime, and then quickly disappeared. It's hard to say exactly what it was, either an unadvertised sale or just a mistake from the airline.
